Botulinum A ( Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau ) are all a type of wrinkle relaxer. These are toxins that help to block the acetylcholine in the muscle which aids in temporarily paralyzing the muscle. This results in a reduced appearance of facial wrinkles. 

After the procedure, results can take up to 4-10 days to allow time for the product to take effect.

Be sure to avoid the following before your dermal fill appointment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling:

Alcohol, anti-inflammatory medications, anticoagulants, caffeine and vitamin A & E.

Most patients describe a pinching feeling during the injection and not much pain. The needles used for neurotoxin injections are very thin and do not go very deep.

Mild redness and swelling at the injection site may be present along with some bruising.

Please be aware the it can take 4 to 10 days before results being to show.

• Remain upright for 4 hours after injection.
• Do not wear anything constricting on the forehead ( such as headbands or hats ).
• Do not massage or manipulate the area.
• Avoid exercise for 24 hours.
