Dermal Fill Procedure
& Information
A Dermal Fill is a a substance derived from hyaluronic acid ( a natural substance already found in the body ) that is designed to be injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume and fullness. This can instantly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, giving a softer natural look.
The most commonly treated areas are the lips to create more volume, the chin or nose to contour and shape or below the eyes to reduce hollowness around the eyes.
Be sure to avoid the following before your dermal fill appointment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling:
Alcohol, anti-inflammatory medications, anticoagulants, caffeine and vitamin A & E.
After your session it is normal to experience an “overfilled” appearance to treated areas. You may experience swelling and bruising as well as temporary numbness or redness.
***If you experience severe pain, discoloration, bruising that becomes larger or darker, numbness and tingling. blanching ( white spots or blotches ) and/or mottling on lips or skin, please contact your nurse injector immediately.***
Dermal fillers can last from 6 to 9 months.
The number of syringes needed for desired results will depend upon each clients individual circumstance and needs.
